It’s been a while since I’ve written. It’s been a full summer, with many hours of my day going to the self-care of exercise in order to keep losing weight. I’m down thirty-some pounds since a year ago at this time, when the blood sugar and the diabetes were getting a bit out of control. There is nothing like the fear of breaking down a strong body, which I’ve always taken for granted, and perhaps blindness, to jump on the self-care bandwagon. For any readers who want to know how I’m doing it, I cannot recommend highly enough. It was what made the difference for me.

I’ve been working on my second book, which was originally my first book, until I decided to self-publish a book on the Runes. Check out RUNE PLAY here. The original book I began when the Norns first appeared to me back in 2013 and prompted the understanding of the Runic energies. Hela came through soon after, and with these four Deities, I underwent a life process review that included stepping into trauma I’d experienced at seven with the death of the family cat. I’m happy to say that trauma is now healed, and that beloved lil’ cool cat now serves to guide me on journeys into the death realms. Without that experience, I never would have explored and developed the psychic gifts that I now enjoy. And while I cannot put a date on the completion of my second book, it feels like the end is in sight, and I hope to have the first draft done before my school bus run starts for the 2021-2022 school year.

I am grateful to have had the time this summer to go deep inside myself and sort out some of those deeply buried and long-held issues that arose from childhood experiences. This work is not easy, but it is always worthwhile, because the clarity we gain emotionally frees us to carry more of our own light into a world that seems to me so sorely needs it. There are evil forces that “bottom-feed” on despair, depression, and sorrow, so if we can become clear, it greatly enhances whatever spiritual practices we follow and honor. That said, I read a great blog from Galina Krasskova on the uses of Thurisaz this morning, here. Thurisaz is a Rune of protection that I have also found very helpful in doing the work of mental release from old patterns of self-sabotaging behavior. As Ms. Krasskova explains, Thurisaz is a very focused energy, and I have found it very helpful to be very clear with this Rune just exactly what I am asking for. I ask him to clear the spiritual bottom-feeders too, and the load always lightens.
